Oberkirch, December 17, 2018 - The PWO Group has received the "Crazy for SuCCess - Supplier Award" from its customer Bosch. Only six of the 1,000 suppliers to the Chassis Systems Control division were awarded this exclusive prize, and PWO was the only German company to receive this award.

The award honors PWO's achievements in the production of a gearbox housing for the iBooster, which is a vacuum-independent electromechanical brake booster from Bosch. More efficient internal combustion engines, new driving modes such as sailing or purely electric driving as well as modern driver assistance functions all require innovative braking systems. The iBooster can be used for all types of drivetrain systems and is especially suitable for hybrid and electric vehicles.

The award was presented to PWO by Gerhard Steiger, CEO of Chassis Systems Control, during a festive gala at the Bosch plant in Blaichach/Immenstadt - the main plant for ABS and ESP systems and other innovative core technologies. We were also able to present our latest products and innovations to Bosch's top management by means of a supplier marketplace.

PWO CEO Dr. Volker Simon is very pleased with the award: "We supply these components to Bosch from our Mexican location. It's a great accomplishment to be awarded this special prize for our first project for the Chassis Systems Control division. Through this, we have been able to further deepen and expand our decades-long customer relationship with Bosch. We thank the customer and all our employees for this."

Johannes Obrecht, member of the PWO Management Board responsible for Production and Materials explains: "The housing for the brake booster is the most demanding component in this system in terms of forming. It is manufactured in three variants and installed by Bosch in systems for car manufacturers in Europe, Japan and the USA. Decisive factors in receiving this award were the close and intensive cooperation between Bosch and PWO, our high level of technological competence and our commitment to further improving the performance of the overall system. At the same time, we also see these as the factors for PWO's success."
