The Company
The PWO AG's acquisition of UNITOOLS CZ a.s., Valasské Mezirici, on March 31, 2005, was a major step forward in the development of a European presence. By establishing ourselves in the Czech Republic, PWO is not only following its existing customers into Eastern Europe, it is also opening up a new client base and at the same time exploiting the favourable environment in terms of costs.

The company has traded as PWO UNITOOLS CZ a.s. since April 2006. PWO UNITOOLS represents an ideal complement to the tool shop, which is further improved. At the same time, PWO invested at the site located in the centre of the economically attractive industrial region of Eastern Europe, into a modern series production.

UNITOOLS CZ a.s., based in Valasské Mezirici in the east of the Czech Republic, was founded in 1992. It is specialises in tool construction and develops and makes stamping, cutting, bending and drawing tools for the automobile industry.

As early as 2000, UNITOOLS was awarded Volkswagen's "Leading Edge" corporate supplier award, and in 2001 it introduced a comprehensive quality management system under ISO 9001 and VDA 6.4.

PWO UNITOOLS now produces on two high-performance deep-drawing presses. A 1,250 ton transfer press goes currently into production and another forming press will be added within a short time. Serial production at the Eastern Europe plant focuses particularly on safety components, with PWO successfully applying the expertise it has systematically built up over the years in this field to the development of new business.

Increases in capacity are planned for the next years.
